Parks Department

The City of Diboll Parks Department has much to offer. Facilities found at Old Orchard Park include a walking trail, two playgrounds, a fishing pond, a little league baseball field complex, as well as volleyball and basketball courts. There are three pavilions and various picnic tables and benches throughout the park so all may enjoy their outing at this beautiful recreational area. 

The Hike and Bike Trail, is approximately 5 miles and winds from Dennis Street through the Old Orchard Park and ends on Lumberjack Drive, past the city’s Neches Pines Golf Course and the Diboll High School. The park and trail are available for use from sunrise to 10 p.m. each day.

The Old Orchard Park also has a spray and play pad. Constructed in 2004, the spray and play pad offers a variety of interactive equipment for the young and young at heart. The spray and play pad is open seasonally, and is typically open from Memorial Day Weekend in May thru August each year from 10 am to 8 pm.

The Parks Department is also responsible for the upkeep of the city cemetery, Forest Haven. Forest Haven is located on Neill Pickett Drive, less then one mile from the Temple Elementary School. The cemetery is approximately 4 acres with roughly 1,400 graves. The cemetery is accessible from sunrise to sunset each day of the year.
